The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has be teaching for many years that we need to have a year supply of food, clothing and (where possible) fuel. This, of course takes sacrifice and faith, but, like all other commandments of the Lord, carries great blessings. The Wife and I have been working on this goal for a while now.

We now have a 1 week emergency supply of water and about a 2 week supply of food. Far from our goal, but we are working on it. A few days ago, we ordered some MREs from MREDepot.com. These came in today. A month or so ago, we ordered the Family Home Storage Starter Kit from LDSCatalog.com. I’ve decided to create a permanent page called Family Home Storage, which I plan on updating with resources as I come across them. |
