On Saturday, I walked to the cluster mailbox for our street to get our mail. I was mildly surprised that there was no mail, as almost everyday there is something. As I was turning around, I noticed a note on a car that was half-way in front of the mailbox. I decided to go look and see what it was. It was a note from the Post Office that said the mail couldn’t be delivered today because the car was blocking access to the mailbox! So, let me get this straight. While “neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night, nor the winds of change, nor a nation challenged, will stay us from the swift completion of our appointed rounds. Ever.” (USPS.com), a parked car in front of a cluster mailbox will? The mail carrier had to get out of his vehicle to put the stupid note on the car. He couldn’t walk the extra 2 feet to get to the mailbox?
