Al Sharpton, who claims he is for civil rights and to end bigotry in our country said something that offended me yesterday. As a result, I am writing the following letter and mailing it to:

To Whom It May Concern:
One of your radio personalities, Al Sharpton, on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, said “As for the one
Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don’t worry about that; that’s a temporary situation.” As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly referred to as “the Mormon Church”, I am greatly offended
that Mr. Sharpton referred to Mitt Romney as “the one Mormon” and also for implying that members of the Church don’t really believe in God. Mr. Sharpton has a habit of saying offensive things and since he called on Don Imus to be fired for saying offensive things,
I, as one of 13 million members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints demands that he be fired.

Edit: 4 Feb 2008 – I didn’t actually send this in case anyone wondered. I was trying to make a point. Al Sharpton gets “offended” and someone get’s fired. He says something offensive, and few care.
