As most of you know by now, on Thursday, June 12, 2008, the US Supreme Court reached their decision in the case Boumediene v. Bush. The ruling of this case has caused much anger on the right and much rejoying on the left. As I always try to do, I made an initial opinion on this matter, but then I like to study it a little bit more. Between work, school, and family, this is the first chance that I’ve had to do an indepth study of the ruling and I wanted to post my thoughts on this case. Read it and let me know your thoughts. more…

I went to North Las Vegas Township Justice Court today. One of the Bailiffs, when I was going through security, asked me if I was a lawyer! There were only 3 people in the court room who had a tie on and I was one of them. (the other two were lawyers). I thought that was funny. But, in any cause, the Defendants did not show up and they were ruled against.
I was kinda worried about going before the judge. I had gone before a judge twice before, but they were both traffic related, which made me, of course, the defendant, with the plaintive being the State. This time, I was the plaintive.
