Principles Of The Gospel

Family Home Evening Principles of the Gospel

“Fostering successful family home evenings can be challenging for families of all sizes and ages. Although family home evenings are often focused on teaching children, adults can learn a great deal as well.”

Ensign, July 2008, pg 34

I co-teach The Gospel Principles Sunday School for my Church off and on from August 2000 until September 2008.  During this time, I had the privilege of teaching the principles of the Lord’s gospel to those not of my faith, those new to my faith, and others who attend. I like to give out handouts when I teach as I feel it is a good way to help reinforce the lesson taught that week. Every year or so, I would revise these handouts.  I posted the latest version on my blog.  I only create these booklets on Sundays that I taught and since I have been released from this calling, I have no plans at this time on creating new handouts. As a result, not every lesson has a handout created. I’d like to thank The School of Abraham’s Teaching Gospel Principles to Young Children, and The Idea Door, for many of the ideas used in these FHE booklets.

Please note that while I attempt to make sure that all information
within these booklets contain only the doctrine of the Savior,
these booklets are not produced, edited, or reviewed by the Church,
and as a result, do not necessarily represent the doctrines, beliefs,
teachings or positions of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
