Barack Obama's 57 States

I’m sure most of you guys have heard that Senator Obama said that he thought that he had visited 57 States so far.  Some have tried to link it to the “57 Islamic States”.  As you guys know, I am not an Obama fan, however, I feel a responsibility to defend him here.

Democratic Primaries/Caucuses

1-50. The States
51. American Samoa
52. District of Columbia
53. Guam
54. Puerto Rico
55. US Virgin Islands
56. Democrats Abroad

He was tired, as you can see in the video, and he was trying to figure out how many Democratic Contests there are.  And, there are 56 contests for the Democrats in 2008.

Some may ask

Some may ask, why would I, a life-long Republican, be supporting Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party Candidate for President of the United States of America.  The answer is quite simple.  Both the Democratic and Republican Parties have failed us.  Both of them have gone too far left for us to just sit around and continue to elect them.  It’s time for real change.  What kind of change you may ask?  How about following the Constitution?  Do you know what the Constitution says?  You can read it online or order a pocket sized copy of it.  After you have read through it, you may take an online quiz about the Constitution.

Here’s a pretty good radio spot that the Constitution Party of Oregon created called Birds of Prey. Constitution Pary of Oregon: Birds of Prey.

I am Officially Supporting Chuck Baldwin

Effective today, I am officially supporting Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party Candidate for US President in 2008.  In July 2007, I wrote “Mitt Romney needs to hold a press conference this week and say something to the effect of “If Ramos and Compean, our two Border Agents who are now in jail for doing their job, are not pardoned by the time I take office in January 2009, I will pardon them my first day as President of the United States”. ”  Governor Romney did not take my suggestion.

In a recent campaign speech, Chuck Baldwin said: “And I guarantee you this; the day before my inauguration as President will be the last day that Mr. Romos and Compean will have to spend in prison.  They will be released from prison on the first day that I am President.”

What if 20 Million Illegal Aliens Vacated America?

This is an old news entry, but I think it was worth posting now with the Senate passing a War Appropriations Bill that grants temporary amnesty to illegal immigrants.

Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News wrote a column titled, “Mexican visitor’s lament” — 10/25/07.

She interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said,

“They (illegal aliens) pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes…what happens to your country’s economy if 20 million people go away?”

That’s a good question – it deserves an answer. Over 80 percent of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America? The answers may surprise you!

Ted Kennedy has a tumor

I’m sure everyone has already heard the US Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.  While Senator Kennedy and I agree on few things politically, my heart and my prayers goes out to his family.  I hope that he has a speedy recovery.  While the prognosis is bleak, since America has the best health care system in the world, bar none, he is in best hands and, therefore, has the greatest chance to recovery.

Elder Deschamps is improving

In a followup to my last blog post, Elder Randall Deschamps is no longer in serious condition.

“It’s a vast improvement over where he was,” [Family Spokesman Marshall R] Topham said. “I think the family is doing as well as can be expected. There’s a lot of emotion associated with the loss of a mother, and the emotion associated with the hopeful recovery of their father.”
