Question 4 vs Question 5… a Wolf in Sheeps Clothing

There are two “Anti-Smoking” bills this November in Nevada elections. However, one is more a “Wolf in sheep’s clothing” and one is really an anti-smoking bill. Question 4, the “Responsibly Protect Nevadans From
Secondhand Smoke” is not. It will not in any way protect Nevadans from 2nd hand smoke. In fact, it many ways, its worse than the current laws! It is being supported by tobacco companies and Herbest Gaming, Inc. On the other hand, Question 5, the “Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act” will help protect us from the dangers of second hand smoke. The Wife and I hate going places that are smoky. This will be great. However, with everything, I don’t want you to just take what I say at face value. Compare Questions 4 & 5

I feel this is very important. I’ve added a banner to the bottom of the front page of LasVegasGeeks.com, CoxFam.org, and MikesWorld.org about Question 4 & 5, with a link to www.NevadaCleanAir.com

We saw Phantom Las Vegas

We saw the Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular tonight. The Wife has wanted to see The Phantom of the Opera since she was in Junior High. I figured this was a good birthday gift for her. She really liked it. It was too short, however. On Broadway, Phantom is about 3 hours. In Vegas, its an hour and a half.

They got mad when it was high… now they're mad that it's going down

I was listening to News 88.9 KNPR yesterday. They were talking about gas prices. In recent weeks, they have started to drop from around $3.00 a gallon to about $2.60 a gallon. As gas prices had risen, the Liberals in our country blamed President Bush. They got upset with him. NPR, yesterday, complained that gas prices were going down because “it makes it harder to get people to fund research into alternative fuels”. What the crap do they want? Do they want prices higher or lower? The President has no control over gas prices, but since the Liberals want to blame him for everything, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

"We didn't invade Mexico"

On the Today Show this past Thursday, someone said “After we were attacked by Japan, we didn’t invade Mexico” speaking about the attack of Pearl Harbor and the US entrance into World War II. Well, that is very true. We didn’t. We invaded Europe! The liberal who said this, of course, was saying how after the September 11th attacks and the US War on Terror, we should not have attacked Iraq. I’d like to thank Rush Limbaugh for the inspiration for this entry.

ABC's "The Path to 9/11"

The Wife and I watched The Path to 9/11, presented commercial free on ABC. As we watched this movie, we noticed a pattern. It was sad to watch the fighting between the various Federal Agencies… It’s also sad to see that bin Laden could have been captured, but no one would give permission for it to be done. This is bureaucracy at its worst. This is what the Department of Homeland Security has been created for. We can only hope that they will continue to foil future terrorist plots against US interests, at home and at broad. This was a great movie that shows the many failures of both the Clinton & Bush administrations. Hopefully, we’ve learned from the many mistakes, made by both Democrats and Republicans.

We actually were not planning on watching this, but the stink made by the Clinton Administration and the Democrats made us want to.
